Castlecool announces new partnership with Advanced Marketing and Benecol

Advanced Marketing NI Ltd, Distribution Agents in Ireland for the Benecol range of foods, have announced that they have selected Capital Transport and Shipping Ltd & Castlecool Ltd as their designated partners to manage their International and Domestic Transport and Distribution chilled contract for Ireland.

The contract will involve the temperature-controlled transportation of Benecol products from several European countries and their distribution across the Retail Trade in Ireland, North and South.
The deal is worth €3.6 million and will generate and secure 7 jobs.

Benecol is a range of foods that contain a unique patented ingredient, Plant Stanol Ester, that is proven to lower cholesterol. It has grown to be one of the top 20 Irish household grocery brands.

Eugene Maher, Director of Capital Transport and Shipping Ltd and also a Senior Manager with Castlecool Ltd added,

“This is a significant contract within the Food Sector in Ireland, delivering a robust chilled service for one of the Top 20 Brands to the Retail Trade. Capital Transport and Shipping will manage the international element of the supply chain which involves collecting Benecol products on a "Just-in-Time" basis from Switzerland, France, and Belgium. By utilizing a sophisticated KPI-based process we ensure the integrity of the chill chain from production to consumer. We interface with the Advanced Marketing order forecast system and ensure that products are available in the Castlecool Distribution Centre for distribution throughout Ireland.”

“We will provide a complete temperature-controlled distribution service to Advanced Marketing for the Retail Sector on the island of Ireland. The range of services include, stock management, order picking and contract packing. Working within a chilled chain environment we will manage the Benecol stock at our Lough Egish DC and distribute the products to the Retail Trade on a daily, 7 days per week basis."
